Many products are manufactured in a manner that allows the manufacturer to receive the most profits. Unfortunately, this is not always best for the consumer. Michigan product liability laws actually provide that a manufacturer is responsible for damages to a person who is ultimately injured by a defective or unsafe product.
Thousands of individuals have been seriously injured or killed as a result of these products being placed into the consumer stream without being properly designed or manufactured. Also, there are often very inadequate warnings on products, not allowing the individual user to have the proper knowledge to either operate or utilize the end product.
Product design, manufacturing, and lack of warnings, which are classified as defective, can range from a simple folding chair which collapses when an individual sits upon it, to saws that do not have proper guards on them, contaminated food and medicine, medications that were not properly tested, or machinery that does not have appropriate warnings, or any at all.
Defective product attorneys are also referred to as product liability attorneys. The attorneys who handle these types of cases are aware that many injuries caused by products could have been avoided if the manufacturer had taken more care before the product was released into the market. of, in the alternative, warned the consumer about the risk of using the product, when the risk is not clear to the end user of the product. You should contact an experienced attorney if you have been injured by a defective product.
